GEMA Essay writing Competition

In grade 11, I participated in a GEMA essay competition on “The Value of Volunteering and Giving Back to the Community.” I wrote that volunteering is not only about helping others, it also fulfills a deeper purpose within us. I emphasized how service builds empathy, strengthens community bonds, and encourages personal growth, creating a continuous cycle of positivity and fulfillment. My essay was recognized with a Certificate of Outstanding Performance. The experience deepened my belief in the power of volunteering as a way to contribute meaningfully while also finding purpose within oneself.
